Parent Volunteer Information

The following information will help parents of Aqua Jets swimmers meet their volunteer committments for Aqua Jets swim meets.

Summer swim teams need parent volunteers to make meets work. While the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion is running the team, the management of meets is a burden that must be borne by team parents. Unlike other sports, the smooth running of a swim meet requires a total of 25 - 30 parents from EACH team. In order to be more organized and fair to everyone, we have a volunteer system in place that requires every family to commit to help in the running of at least four meets and the time trials.

This is NOT an optional commitment! It is not fair to expect the same parents to work every Saturday Dual meet and every Wednesday Developmental meet. Swimmers whose parents have signed up for a specific meet, and then fail to show, may not be permitted to swim in the meet.
