Indoor Tennis Rules of Play

Below is a summary of rules that have been in existence since the bubble first arrived and indicate what actions will be taken for those not abiding by these rules. This effort is being encouraged and is strongly supported by the Ashburn Village Community Association’s Board of Directors and the Association’s Tennis Committee. You may also download the AVSP Indoor Tennis Rules of Play here.

ALL INDOOR TENNIS PLAYERS MUST READ AND ABIDE BY THE FOLLOWING:

  • ENTRY INTO THE TENNIS BUBBLE IS ONLY ALLOWED VIA THE REVOLVING DOOR; OTHER DOORS ARE FOR EMERGENCY EXIT ONLY.
  • ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN AT THE SPORTS PAVILION’S FRONT DESK PRIOR TO PLAY.
  • ALL COURT, GUEST, & PROGRAM FEES MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO PLAY.
  • PLAYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVING THEIR PERSONAL BELONGINGS AFTER PLAY AND LEAVING THE COURT IN PROPER PLAYING CONDITION (FOR EXAMPLE, TRASH DEPOSITED IN RECEPTACLES AND BALLS PICKED UP).
  • MEMBERS ARE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR GUESTS’ BEHAVIOR.  ANY VIOLATION OF THESE RULES BY A GUEST PLAYER WILL BE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SPONSORING MEMBER, OR, IF THE GUEST DID NOT CHECK IN WITH THE MEMBER, THE COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALL PLAYERS ON THE DESIGNATED COURT.
  • ANY MEMBER WHO KNOWINGLY CONTRIBUTES TO THE VIOLATION OF THE ABOVE RULES WILL BE TREATED IN THE SAME WAY AS THE VIOLATOR(S).

Any infraction of the above rules will be deemed as willful abuse of one’s privileges.  Any disciplinary actions taken by the management of Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion and the Ashburn Village Community Association or by the Ashburn Village Community Association’s Board of Directors will not require any additional warnings, either verbal or written.  Disciplinary actions will include suspension or termination of membership privileges for residents and termination of privileges for non-residents and guest participants.

If you observe someone violating these rules, a problem with the facility, or a player injury, immediately go to the Pavilion’s Front Desk or call 703-729-0581 ext. 0 and ask for the manager-on-duty.  If an incident occurs after hours, contact the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-1021.
