Lauren is currently finishing her bachelors in Anthropology with a concentration in BioMedicine from the State University of New York at Albany. She has an Associates degree in Liberal Arts from Hudson Valley Community College.
Lauren is certified as a Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and has numerous group exercise certifications such as Kickboxing, Boxing and Spinning. Lauren also teaches Bootcamp, Body Sculpting and Pyramid Classes.
Lauren began her career as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor at The Stueben Athletic Club in Albany, New York. She has also worked for the YMCA where she continued to personal train, teach group exercise and helped in developing and overseeing Active Adult, Teen and Youth Fitness Programs. She was previously working in membership sales for the Women’s Club in Chantilly.
Lauren grew up in upstate New York and just moved to Virginia from the state of Maine. She has been involved in swimming, diving, ice hockey, tennis and track teams growing up. She was a collegiate swimmer and diver for the State college of New York at Oneonta. Lauren also played on the Men’s Hockey Team at Hudson Valley Community College. In her spare time you can find Lauren running outside, entering races, climbing mountains, mountain biking and kayaking.

Tom McAuliffe, NSPA-CPT - Personal Trainer (1)
After a lifetime of recreational weight lifting with friends, family or other people he met in the gym, Tom decided to turn his passion for fitness into a profession.
Tom is certified with the National Strength Professional Association (NSPA), with additional certifications in Stability Core Ball Training. He also has specific sport fitness education for golfers.
One of the greatest joys Tom receives is watching someone reach their personal best. Working with beginners and helping them learn their potential for strength and overall physical health is one of the many reasons he became a Personal Trainer.
Tom, a marathoner, tri-athlete and cyclist truly understands the challenges, level of commitment and motivation necessary to attain a goal.
Tom is quick to volunteer for a good cause and while living in New England he was deeply involved in the Special Olympics Track and Field where “every athlete is a winner”.
A profession in Personal Training comes after a 20 year successful home improvement business with a focus on wall covering.

Walt grew up playing football and baseball. He was a high school athlete at Broad Run then went on to play football at Shepherd University in West Virginia.
Originally from Hawaii, Walt has resided in Lansdowne for 3 years.
Walt has always enjoyed working out and while training for football, decided he’d like to pursue a career in the fitness industry. Walt will graduate from Shepherd in May 2009 with a degree in Sports Management. He is eager to start his begin in sports and fitness.
Walt has been a trainer for two years. He enjoys motivating and creating fun and safe workouts for his clients. He makes it his own personal objective to help clients reach their goals and see results.
